Semiconductors/Opto/RF
Semiconductors/Optoelectronics/RF is a general categorization to refer to IC and elements such as transistors. They are found in various electrical appliances, such as CPUs in computers, diodes in LEDs, as well as in air conditioners, cell phones, etc., and each feature a control function. They include discrete products such as diodes, as well as interfaces, microcontrollers, driver IC, and more. They are usually made of silicon, and additionally, carbon and germanium. Recent years have seen further development of power device and MEMS technology that use semiconductors/optoelectronics/RF, which are used in sensors in hybrid cars, gyro sensors, etc. In the future, applications to energy-saving technology and a wide range of other fields are expected as well.
