Passive Parts

Passive components use, release and store electricity received from outside sources. They include resistors, capacitors and inductors. Passive components are used mainly in speakers, electric motors and HDDs, circuit boards for stoves, etc., and various other home electronics products and devices. Materials and shapes will vary depending on the component; however, all passive components have multiple lead wires extending from the main unit. Lead wires have the functionality of copper wires and, by connecting the circuit board with the circuit, allow the passive components to exhibit their properties and functions. Especially in precision equipment, passive components are important in that they are often necessary for the equipment to function properly.
